SSL OOTD| Be Festive Yet Practical In Giving This Holiday Season

WHY CELEBRATE?

Merry Christmas SSLs! On today, what better way than to celebrate Christ’s birth than with family and friends, giving to those in need? During the holiday season, we sometimes get so caught up in the little things: getting/ giving gifts, checking off every item on our to-do lists, finishing every dish on our holiday menus. I do understand that this can be very easy to do, so I wanted to remind you all of what’s important: celebrating the Love of Christ by blessing others.

HOW TO GIVE BACK?

This year, there have been so many natural disasters, terrorist attacks, acts of gun violence, etc. And there are a lot of people aching to be shown even the slightest bit of compassion. Giving doesn’t require a lot of money, time, or excess resources. All you have to do is take a moment to observe the needs around you. That should be easy to do as there’s ALWAYS someone less fortunate. Check your local shelters, churches, and community organizations to assess the needs in your community.

JUST DO IT!

Give because you can. Give because you care. Allow God to genuinely use you this holiday season to be a blessing within someone’s life. The toys, desserts, and to-do lists can all wait, but not everyone can wait on their primary needs. Determine the need you’ll tackle. Set aside some time. And do it.

Wishing you the LOVE of Christ this holiday season!

Shoe Deets: I paired this fuzzy oxblood sweater from Forever 21 and H&M pencil skirt with a these super cute suede Mary Jane pumps with a ribboned bow detail from Nine West. The name of this shoe is ‘Severina’.While I did purchase these from DSW in a US size 11, I don’t think these are still available for purchase.
