Classic White Eyelet Dresses Are Still A Must
This Summer, I’ve had the best time finding classic white dresses in natural materials. As I’m getting older, I love shopping for cotton, linens, silks, etc. because it’s been terribly hot and sticky down South. For just around $20.00 each from my favorite discount retailer, I was able to add new staple pieces to my wardrobe, including the white dress in my A Picturesque Afternoon At Bahia Palace post.
White eyelet dresses are a timeless classic for Spring and Summer. From girls to older women, this is one style that will continue to transcend time and age.
I wanted to show you all how I styled one cotton eyelet midi dress 3 ways to inspire you to get creative with your Summer dresses these last couple of days before Fall. Whether you’re a Southern Belle or a Hamptons lady, I guarantee this look will suit your style for your next brunch, baby shower, or day-time date.
Look #1: Wear It Bare
You can’t possibly go wrong in wearing your eyelet dress alone without other clothing pieces. In this look, the complete highlights are definitely the tiny but beautiful details of the dress. I paired mine with simple denim sandals and sterling silver accessories. You can find these exact diamond studs in the link below.
Look #2: Wrap It Up!
I found this really cute purple wrap crop top from Free People earlier this year. I’ve only worn it as a crop top with high waisted jeans before, so I’m so glad I had the idea to pair this eyelet dress with it. For those of you looking to dress more conservatively, this wrap top concept would be a great way to touch up your longer dresses with a pop of color.
I paired this look with the same necklace but switched out my shoes to add some height and drama. My purple statement earrings were luckily already in my arsenal, and I chose wedges because, of course, you can wear wedges for long periods without unruly discomfort as with other heel styles. These particular wedges are no longer being sold; however, I did find a reseller and a similar style below for those interested.
Look #3: The Poppin’ Cardigan
This last and final styling of my latest eyelet dress is all about bold color. I paired the same dress with a bright yellow open cardigan and turquoise jewelry. The rings were treasures I found while in Marrakech, Morocco last month, but there are so many similar turquoise pieces stateside to give you the same vibe.
