SSL OOTD| Styling Two-tone Striped Denim with Colorblocking
So, I’ve been on a denim spree these last several months. I’ve bought like 5 pairs of jeans in the past 2-3 months. I know, I might be overdoing it a bit, but I do have some good reasons to splurge. Denim of course is the most versatile piece to have in your wardrobe. With all the different washes, cuts, and styles–you have absolutely no limits as to the variety of looks you can create with great denim pieces. So, you can never really have too much denim. Also, I just purged my closet of so many pieces that are way too big for me now. So, my weight loss (I unintentionally went down a waist size) from last year gave me the perfect excuse to go shopping. Luckily, I’ve been finding great brands and heavily discounted prices at my local department thrift store.
This pair is quite unique to me. It’s typically not a style that I would otherwise choose, but I found the high waist and wide pant leg to be flattering on me. The two tones of the jeans just added dimension and hippy definition to this look.
I now own more jeans than I ever have before. Normally, I would never find jeans that would fit my hips and waist without paying a hefty price for the quality. I’m going to enjoy this denim high for a while. So, don’t say I didn’t warn you before my next denim overload on my feed.
What’s your favorite denim style?
Also, I found this gem of a cardigan at TJMaxx. I knew it was meant to come home with me. And I’m SO glad that I picked it up because the temp is finally dropping a bit here in the ‘Sip. YAY!
